I'm 14 year old Sarah Andrew and I have been riding with Tovah since October 2000. I currently own a 16.2 hand, bay Hanoverian gelding imported from Germany named Glencheck. He is still fairly young but has had much experience showing at high jumper levels in Germany with his former owner. Tovah found him in Wellington, Florida in January 2004. "Glen" is a direct descendant of some of the best Hanoverian show jumping lines, which include Gloster, Graphit (sire of Grannus), and Grande. More lines include Watzmann, Feingau, and Furioso II. If you know of the best Hanoverians, you know of these horses.

Glen and I have had many victories. The first time i really rode him was at a horse show in Tucson, Arizona. He jumped so well, he jumped me out of the saddle! We have been Division and Year-end champions in Equitation and Hunter classes at local shows. In Jumpers, Glen isn't really very fast, but what he lacks in speed he makes up in clear-rounds and amazing turns. In April 2005, we were 3rd in the Nevada Cup, which brought many of the best Junior and Amateur riders from Nevada to compete. Our biggest jump was 5', a few times; although that’s the highest our current standards go. I'm sure if we have larger standards and Tovah got on him, he could easily jump anything she asked.

Tovah is a great trainer. She has the most experience training, riding, and dealing with horses in the Las Vegas Valley. She is a great mentor, kind yet firm on decisions she makes. She is great with kids and adults. When a problem arose at our barn, she and her husband, Richard, quickly made changes to deal with it and it was soon behind us.

Not just anyone can waltz onto Tovah and Rich's property. There are certain qualifications they must meet and rules they must agree to and abide. The reason is because we are a strict show barn. We travel to 'A' shows in Tucson, Scottsdale, Utah, Colorado, and more, so they aren't interested in just people who are going to lollygag around. In fact, their barn is so nice that a grand prix rider who was to compete in the 2005 FEI World Cup was going to stall his horse there for a few days due to his flight. He said," Your barn looks like the nicest in Las Vegas." However, his flight was worked out at the last minute and no stabling was needed.

My goals include hopefully qualifying for the Junior Olympics (in which Tovah rode in when she was younger); going to and finishing up some type of horse related college, maybe for judging horse shows; and becoming a professional rider. And last, retiring with my best friend, Brittany, and maybe my other close friend, Erin, and starting a slaughtered and abused horse rescue foundation in which we save mistreated/abused horses, keep some and train and resell others.
