HUNTER
CLASSIC RULES 1 DAY SHOW
To be judged on performance and soundness with manners emphasized. To be scored
under the open numerical judging system. Each competitor will jump one round of
ten jumps., The top 7 horses from the first round will return to jump a second
round in reverse order of their scores of the first round; lowest score going
first. In case of ties order of those ties will be drawn. Scores will be
averaged from both rounds to determine the winners In case of a tie for first
place only, the tied horses will jump a third round over a shortened course to
break the tie.
JUMPER RULES
Table II, Sec. 2 (a/b) The first round and first jump-off, if any, are decided
by adding together the faults incurred over the course and any penalties for
exceeding the Time Allowed. If a competitor has gone clean in the first round At
managements discretion, each exhibitor may have the Option of taking part in
the jump-off at the completion of their round as in 2(b), or after all
exhibitors have completed their first round. The competitor can, without leaving
the ring, upon an audible signal, commence to the designated jump-off course. A
competitor with a clear round may adjust tack and/or equipment; however, upon
the audible signal begin his/her jump off round, the competitor is responsible
to adhering to 30 seconds rule. If there are no clean rounds and a tie exists
for first place, there will be one jump-off in which time will decide in the
event of equality of faults. It is recommended that no more than ten numbered
obstacles be included in the first round when the class is scored under this
table.
Lead line 12 years and
under. Must submit full entry form.
Class Fee: Free
Children must wear approved Helmets when mounted
at all times.
SCHOOLING HUNTER OPEN * Two courses

EVENT 1 Three Classes
(Class a) WALK / TROT PLEASURE UNDER SADDLE -Open
Horse/rider combination to be judged: 60% on performance and manners,
30% on type, quality, conformation and substance, and 10% on
appointments.
(Class b) WALK/TROT EQUITATION UNDER SADDLE- Open
Horse/Rider combination to be judged on: Seat, Hands, Performance of
mount, Suitability of mount to rider, Appointments of mount and ride.
(Class c) WALK/TROT OVER POLES- Open
Open to beginner riders or horses. Horses to trot a course of 6 to 8
poles on the ground, with at least one change of direction. Breaking to
canter is to be penalized. . If you are dismounted for any reason you
may remount and continue.
The judge can let you continue or excuse you from the arena at any time.

height, with at least one change of direction. To be judged on way of
going, soundness, manners, jumping style and an even hunting pace that
covers the course with free-flowing strides. Trotting is considered
breaking stride, and is to be penalized. Simple changes allowed.
Refusals and knockdowns are to be penalized. Unsafe jumping and bad form
are to be penalized, whether fence is touched or not. After three

HUNTER CLASSIC
To be judged on performance and soundness with manners emphasized. To be
scored under the open numerical judging system. Each competitor will
jump one round of nine jumps., on the evening of the 3rd. The fence
heights will be the same as the hunter event phases. The top 15 horses
from the first round will return to jump a second round in reverse order
of their scores of the first round; lowest score going first. The second
and final round will be on the 1st. In case of ties order of those ties
will be drawn. Scores will be added from both rounds to determine the
winners In case of a tie for first place only, the tied horses will jump
a third round over a shortened course to break the tie. The fence
heights will start at 18 and go to 30.
Formal attire optional
HUNTER CLASSES WILL BE CONDUCTED IN THREE PHASES: A flat phase and two
over fences phases, scored on an open card numerical system. The flat
phase will consist of a pre-set test to be shown individually right
before the jumping phases. The rider will enter the ring, proceed to the
first cone and salute the judge. The judge will acknowledge the rider
giving a cue to start the test. Staying in the ring, the rider will then
perform the two over fences tests . When finished with all three phases
the rider will stand in the ring and wait for their score to be
announced, once the score is read, the rider will salute the judge and
exit the arena.
Once the rider has entered the hunter arena, no coaching is permitted.
SOMETHING NEW - Each rider may opt for a re-ride of their FIRST hunter
round. If you believe you can do better, you can take a chance and try
your FIRST round again. You will not have an option of choosing the
better score. Your re-ride round will be calculated and that will be
your final score.
For this luxury there will be a fee added of FIVE dollars. If you feel
this is something you would like to take advantage of please add it to
your entry.
SCORING: THE FLAT PHASE WILL EARN A TOTAL OF 100 POINTS. THE TWO OVER
FENCES PHASES COMBINED, EQUAL 200 POINTS. 100 POINTS PER ROUND. JUDGING
WILL CONFORM TO BASIC HUNTER RULES. You may use a martingale and
equitation boots for the entire test. Your goal is to reach 300 points.

GAMBLERS CHOICE CLASSIC RULES
GAMBLERS CHOICE THREE HEIGHTS 26 29 * 30-36 * 3 3-3-9*
There will be 10 fences of varying heights. All of the fences will be
given a point value of 20 to 100. You may cross the start line in either
direction. The first jump signals the start time. The obstacles will be
set to jump both directions. You may only jump each obstacle twice. You
will have 60 seconds to compete. Ringing the bell declares the end of
the round; the competitor at this point must have jumped the last jump
and crossed the finish line in under the 60 second time allowed. Riders
must go clear in the initial round for the Joker fence to be an option.
The joker fence is required to be jumped within 20 seconds of the bell
ringing. The joker fence may be jumped twice; 100 points will be awarded
each time the obstacle is jumped correctly; but if the jump is knocked
down or refused 100 points will be deducted each attempt. The rider must
complete the course thru start and finish lines under the time allowed.
After three refusals you will be excused. If you are dismounted for any
reason you may remount and continue. The judge can let you continue or

INDIVIDUAL SHOWS WILL HAVE AWARDS FOR EACH CLASS.
THERE WILL ALSO BE SUMMER SERIES HIGH POINT AWARDS.
THE HIGH POINT HUNTER AND JUMPER COMBINATION AFTER OF OUR TWO SHOW
SERIES WILL BE AWARDED A DIAMOND AT THE APPROXIMATE VALUE OF $500.00
ATTIRE; Properly fitting approved helmet must be worn at all times when
mounted. A polo type shirt, breeches or jodhpurs, boots according to
pant styles. We would like to recommend for your attire and pads to have
representing barns name. A neat clean appearance is mandatory.
ENTRIES WITH FULL PAYMENT ARE DUE ON TIME. ENTRY DEAD LINE WILL BE
TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO SHOW DATE.
This will allow any alternates to be contacted. Entry must include full
payment, must be received by mail or dropped off with appointment. We
recommend if you do mail your entries you take the time to send them
return receipt requested. No entries by fax.
Entry Refunds: If a show is canceled due to weather conditions, you will
receive a show voucher for an upcoming event to be held by Facet 58
Farms.
If you are requesting a refund, please send your appeal in writing.
Refunds will be given at the show managements discretion. Refunds will
be handled on a case by case basis. Signature on entry gives permission
to use your name, horses name and photograph in any advertisements,
Promotions, and/or other media.
ORDER OF GO IS ALWAYS DRAWN 45 MINUTES PRIOR TO SHOW START
Class order of go will be determined in a drawing at the beginning of
the show day. This may be done by you or your representative. There must
be a representative present or you will not be permitted to compete and
your entry fee will be forfeited. You will receive a name tag. This tag
will state your order of go for all your classes
A CONCESSION will be available for food and refreshments.
ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS ALLOWED
PARKING will be permitted along the street.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP ALL TRASH AND MANURE.
INVITATIONS BACK; any horse and rider who has competed in previous facet
58 farm shows have first option of returning for the next show & receive
available stalls.
PERSONALIZING OUR SHOWS; as each rider is showing we would like to have
our announcer speaking about each exhibitor. How old the rider is, the
horse ,how long they have been showing, accolades, etc. This way we can
get the spectators interested and excited about each individual.
HORSES FOR SALE - we will also mention if your horse is for sale and a
description of his abilities and who to contact. You will find on your
entry form an area designated for this information. there will be a 3%
commission fee
ALL EVENTS WILL BE RUN AS DIVISIONS. YOU MAY NOT ENTER CLASSES
INDIVIDUALLY.
All entries subject to managements approval. Management retains the
right to decline entry to anyone at their discretion. Show rules and
regulations subject to change without notice.
The judge can let you continue or excuse you from the arena at any time.

a stewards inquiry and you may, and or will, be asked to leave the show
grounds.
GENERAL INFORMATION, RULES AND REGULATIONS
The horse show management reserves the right to interpret all questions
and conditions in regard to and arising out of, or incident to the show
without claims for damages or recourse of any kind. The show manager
shall decide all questions not answered in the prize book; its decision
final. The show manager reserves the right to disqualify any riders,
prohibit exhibition of the entries and cancel awards and prizes, without
any claim for damages, to change any course, or to reschedule classes
after due notice to exhibitors as the competition warrants. The horse
show management will in no case be responsible for any loss or damage
that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor
shall hold the horse show, and the officials, employees, directors,
sponsoring entities of the horse show and the facilities at which the
show is held blameless for any loss or accident to himself, his horse,
employees or equipment that may occur from sickness, fire or any other
cause.
MINORS; parents or guardians of a minor exhibitor (under 18) shall hold
Facet 58 Farm and show management harmless for any injury to such minor
child, enforced by signing entry form.
JUDGING; the judges decisions in the show ring are their own and the
manager accepts no responsibly for those decisions. no one can approach
a judge without first obtaining an appointment from the steward. Classes
will be run using the current usef rules.
