and was taught by the best. Donna Mole of Ascot Farm in Homestead, Fla. Trudy
and Larry Glefke of Roads End, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. And Margie Goldstein of
Glade winds Farm, Wellington, Fla. Through the years I have rode in clinics with
the best trainers I could find. George Morris, Gunner Ostarguard, Jim Hagman,
Dan Silverstone, Nona Garson and Ulrich Kirchholf.
2000:
This year brought to me many highs. The greatest moment of my life came to me in
a phone call, I was pregnant. This is also the year the Andrew family came to Facet
58. Sarah Andrew then 10 started out on ponies and now still with us has been
Nevada State Champion every year.
2001:
This was the birth year of my beautiful daughter, Scarlet Rae Iaquinto. She is
named after my mother Sally who passed away in 1995 of cancer .
2002:
Our season at our local association (SNHJA) was monumental. Every horse and
rider that showed that year ended up in the top three of there division. A great
surprise was a mare named Coup De bows. She and I won nearly every hunter class
and won the overall Baby Green Hunter Championship. She then went on to win the
Hopeful Jumper Reserve Champion for the year. What great wins for her owner Toni
Nicholas who had her from a baby and stuck with her.
2003:
Our season with our local association again was great. All of our riders and
horses did a fabulous job. The surprise this year was Wings of Gold, who, when
first arrived at our facility would not walk over a pole. He went in one year of
training, from the problem horse in the barn to the hero, ending up with the
year end Schooling Jumper Championship. He was the only horse to get standing
ovations after his trips. Again, what great wins for his owner Michele Dunder
who never gave up. These great local miles brought us to more out of town shows.
In the beginning of the year, we took Sarah Andrew and Apache Cliffs to there
first “A” show, in Tucson where they were reserve champion in the Short Stirrup
Division. By the end of the year, the two really improved and moved up with 2
children’s jumper championships. At the same fall show in Tucson, Coup De Bows
also moved up and was Reserve Champion in the level 3 Jumpers. Sarah rode
Operetta owned by Patty Arnett the Pre-Children’s Jumper Championship. Miss
Kitty and Patty went on to the Level 4 Championship. What a great way to end the
year.
