Bye bye Lollipop!

One of us faded away this last October 28th.

Lollipop, a member of the Burton family, happily took Chase on rides at the farm and was always the ever dapper under the watchful eyes of Dave. Although he has said goodbye to his other horse friends, he will forever live in our hearts.

Rest in peace!

September 2011

What an incredible way to start off SNHJA'S fall season! 11 horse rider combinations produced 9 Champions / Res. Champions at the September show, WAY TO GO guys! Carmen Skankey also came away with the 3'0 Medal and 3'0 Hunter Classic wins on her Green with Envy. Thank you to all of my fabulous help and special thanks to the facettes.

While we were showing late Saturday night at the horse park Scarlet Jasperson and Ben Skankey headed off to a Gymkhana in Henderson with Kurt. Ben (Carmen's little brother) came away with his best times ever and a forth in poles. Scarlet had a great night winning High Point rider with two firsts and a second. This leaves Scarlet sitting on top in her division and #1 in the running for a trophy saddle. I would like to thank Michelle Tighe for letting her ride such a great horse.

We are sad to have to say good by to the Kanagin family and Poetry in Motion, as they have moved to Ill. It has been our pleasure having you in our family for all these years and watching Celena grow up in our barn and through SNHJA. It is a shame they could not finish out the year here showing as the combination was ahead in there respective division for points. Good luck at your new barn, we will miss you greatly.

Alan Vohs spent the weekend at Facet 58 Farm going over our horses giving them a thorough check. Alan's horsemanship, patience, open mind and his machine produced wonderful results with most of the horses receiving an adjustment. We are looking forward to having you continue to work on our personal and clients' horses.
